Plant Walks

Join herbalist Jessy Delleman for a series of fun and informative medicinal plant walks in the Central Saanich area. These by-donation plants walks are casual and unstructured and make room for the student to engage in a personal way. At the same time they delve deep and are jammed packed full of useful information and connecting experiences. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. Don't forget to bring a note book and pen if you wish to take notes! 

Plant Walk | Garden Medicinals

This plant walk takes place in the garden at Fireweed Farm. Participants will discover and identify medicinal plants, either cultivated or volunteering as weeds, that can be used to treat a variety of ailments in herbal first aid. We will explore herbs that are useful in emergency situations for everything from anxiety to wound healing.

During this plant walk Jessy will take you along the seaside to discover the bounty of unique native medicinal plants that can be found along our local beaches. Central Saanich location TBA.

Some of the seaside plants we may have the pleasure to meet and learn more about include:
Indian Celery
Nootka Rose
Coastal Mugwort
Red Elderberry

Take a wander through the lush west coast rainforest and steep yourself in the wisdom of the woods. Jessy will introduce you to forest plants that can be used as medicine, food, and more. Central Saanich location TBA.
