In this workshop we will play with ways of expanding and nourishing our relationship to voice through grounding and centering in the body. We will explore the voice as a healer as well as a conduit for self expression and creativity. Activities will include guided meditation, improv exercises, exploring the body as an instrument, automatic writing and creating an original song together. No previous writing, singing or meditation experience is necessary!
about your instructor
Emma Postl calls upon experience gained through a degree in jazz voice and her continued practical study of vocal techniques and methodologies. In her teaching practice, she uses embodiment, breath, and movement as the foundation for vocal expression and freedom. Emma’s personal exploration of singing as a healing practice is deeply informed by her study of plant medicine and the practice of meditation.
