Journey to the Heart of Nature | A healing retreat
Join us for a four day healing plant medicine retreat in the Cowichan Valley infused with ritual, creative and sacred space, featuring plant meditations, wildcrafting, medicine making, storytelling, morning yoga, evening fires, hiking, river swimming and so much more.
Join us for a 4 day healing plant medicine retreat, delving deep into the heart and craft of our plant teachers and spirit allies. Together we will explore the gift of direct heart perception and plant spirit communion/communication through a reverential approach to nature as teacher. We will immerse ourselves in a full spectrum of engaging activities including wildcrafting, storytelling, medicine making, plant meditations, drum journeys, crafting, yoga and more!
Throughout the retreat we will be working with one of our local native medicinal plants as our focus and teacher, and through this prayerful inquiry, we will individually and collectively experience the gifts offered. An inclusive, safe and welcoming space will be offered in which participants can sink more deeply into a heart-centred embodiment of self, and empowered perception of our own strands woven within the web of nature.
It is truly a bottomless well of inspiration when we begin to tap into the heart of nature through our own direct heart perception. Like a forest of ancient wise folk, just waiting to be asked, noticed and listened to, one plant at a time, they rejoice in our curiosity! We hope you join us!
The retreat is catered and meals are included in the the retreat fees. Dinner only will be provided on Friday, three meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) will be provided on Saturday & Sunday, and breakfast only on Monday. Herbal tea will be provided.
All meals provided will be vegetarian and allergen-friendly (gluten, dairy, corn, soy, nut and egg free) please email us at the time of registration to let us know of if you have any other food allergies or sensitivities that need to be considered.
Please note that the food we will consume will be simple and nourishing, though will not contain salt, or strong flavours and spices. We will also ask that participants refrain from consuming coffee, alcohol, cannabis, tobacco or other herbs during the retreat. During this plant medicine retreat we will learn to simplify and neutralize our inner energetics for the sake of making space to initiate a deeper listening within ourselves and the plants.
Accommodation for the retreat is provided in the Shire Chalet and the Dragonfly Cottage at the beautiful Shire Springs in Lake Cowichan, BC. Both private rooms and shared rooms are available. The price of accommodation is the same for each room/bed and is included in the retreat fees. If you would prefer a private room to your self, or would prefer a shared room with a friend please let us know.
